A serious note for once. It was drilled in if you wanted to successfully breastfeed you shouldn’t introduce a bottle till 6 weeks. What they don’t tell you is if you do so you will then be lucky to get baby to take a bottle full stop.

Only after 6 different bottle types seven weeks and a set of nipple covers did I eventually persuade the sleep terrorist that a bottle wasn’t the work of the devil.

Lansinoh bottles are amazing having tried Tommee Tippie, munchkin latch, nuk, mam and Medela bottles on route. Defining factor though was making baby feed through a nipple cover so making the bottle the easy option and got her started.

I hope this may help a mum or two out there struggling to get their baby to take a bottle.

If ever I have a second child a bottle will be introduced much earlier for the sake of my sanity….
